1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PinePaper Studio (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. License to Use

PinePaper Studio is Freeware v1.0 (currently v0.2.0-beta). Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to:

• Use the Service for personal and commercial purposes
• Create unlimited designs and animations
• Export and download your creations without restriction
• Use the Service across all supported languages and regions

3. Your Content & Intellectual Property

3.1 Ownership of Your Creations

You own everything you create. PinePaper Studio does not claim any ownership rights over your designs, animations, or exported files. You retain full copyright and intellectual property rights to your creations.

3.2 Commercial Use

You are free to use your creations commercially without any attribution or royalty payments, including:

• Social media content for business accounts
• Marketing materials and advertisements
• YouTube videos, courses, and digital products
• Client work and freelance projects
• Print materials and merchandise
• Any other commercial purpose

3.3 Attribution (Optional)

While not required, we appreciate when users credit PinePaper Studio. You may use:

"Created with PinePaper Studio - pinepaper.studio"

4. API & Programmatic Usage

4.1 API Access

PinePaper Studio provides a global API (window.PinePaper) for programmatic access. You may:

• Use the API for automation and batch processing
• Integrate PinePaper into your own applications
• Build tools and workflows on top of the API
• Use AI agents to control PinePaper programmatically

4.2 AI Agent Usage

AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) are welcome to use PinePaper Studio through the API. When using AI agents:

• You remain responsible for the content created
• The same ownership and licensing terms apply
• Respect rate limits and fair use guidelines

4.3 MCP Integration

PinePaper Studio supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling AI agents to create graphics programmatically. When using MCP:

• All content ownership and licensing terms apply equally to MCP-generated content
• You remain responsible for content created through MCP tools
• MCP tools follow the same API guidelines as direct programmatic access
• The MCP server is MIT-licensed — you may fork, modify, and create your own versions to interact with PinePaper in custom ways

4.4 Supported Browsers & Agents

We explicitly support and welcome usage via a wide range of modern browsing environments, acknowledging the shifting landscape of how users access the web:

• Modern Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Arc, Vivaldi
• Privacy-Focused: Brave, DuckDuckGo, Tor Browser, Librewolf
• AI & Search Interfaces: Perplexity, OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Bing Chat
• Agentic Browsers: Headless browsers, automated agents, and new AI-driven navigation tools

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use PinePaper Studio to:

• Create content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
• Generate spam, malware, or phishing content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Overload our infrastructure with excessive automated requests
• Resell or redistribute PinePaper Studio itself as a product

Note: You MAY sell the content you create, just not the tool itself.

6. Third-Party Content

6.1 Imported Content

When importing SVG files, fonts, or images:

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use that content
• PinePaper Studio is not liable for copyright infringement of imported materials
• Respect font licenses and third-party asset terms

6.2 Google Fonts

PinePaper Studio uses Google Fonts, which are licensed under open source licenses. Check individual font licenses for commercial use restrictions (most are free for commercial use).

7. Export Formats & Technical Specifications

PinePaper Studio exports to multiple formats:

• PDF Documents: Print-ready vector export with optional bleed and trim marks - ideal for professional printing, posters, flyers
• PNG Images: High-DPI export (up to 600 DPI) for print and digital use - supports A3, A4, A5, Letter, and custom sizes
• MP4 Video: H.264 via WebCodecs API (Chrome 94+, Edge, Safari 16.4+) - ideal for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn
• GIF Animation: Via gif.js with Web Workers - perfect for Twitter/X, Discord, Slack, messaging apps
• Animated SVG: Native SMIL animations; some complex animations (typewriter, pattern rotation) may not export

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee perfect export results for all combinations of features and browsers. MP4 export requires WebCodecs support. High-DPI PNG exports are subject to browser memory limits (Chrome/Brave/Edge: ~268M pixels, Safari macOS: ~67M pixels, Safari iOS: ~16.7M pixels).

8. Service Availability

PinePaper Studio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the Service
• Error-free operation
• Compatibility with all browsers or devices
• Preservation of locally stored data (use browser backups)

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content

We make no warranties that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINEPAPER STUDIO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
• Any claims by third parties

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR LIABILITY EXCEED $0 (ZERO DOLLARS), AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PinePaper Studio from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you create or import

12. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service
• Update features, animations, or export formats
• Change these Terms at any time

Significant changes will be announced on the main page or through our feedback system.

13. User Feedback & Contributions

We welcome feedback, bug reports, and feature suggestions. By submitting feedback:

• You grant us the right to use, modify, and implement your suggestions
• No compensation will be provided for accepted suggestions
• Your feedback may be shared publicly on our roadmap

14. Multi-Language Support

PinePaper Studio supports 52 languages. Translation quality may vary, and we welcome corrections through our feedback system. The English version of these Terms governs in case of any translation discrepancies.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your license to use the Service ends
• You retain ownership of all content you created
• Locally stored data may be lost (browser-dependent)

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PinePaper Studio is operated. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PinePaper Studio regarding use of the Service.
