Activating the Tool

  • Click the Draw button in the toolbar, or
  • Press B

Drawing

  1. Activate the Drawing Tool
  2. Click and drag on the canvas to draw
  3. Release to finish the stroke

Drawing Properties

Adjust these settings before or during drawing:

Stroke Settings

Property Description
Color Stroke color
Width Brush size in pixels
Opacity Transparency (0-100%)

Brush Style

Style Description
Round Smooth, rounded ends
Square Flat, square ends

Where Drawings Appear

Freehand drawings are added to the background layer. They appear behind text and other interactive elements.

To draw on the background:

  1. In the Scene panel, select Drawing as the background mode
  2. Use the Drawing Tool

Tips

For smooth curves:

  • Draw slowly and steadily
  • Use larger brush sizes for smoother results
  • The path is automatically smoothed after you release

Erasing

To remove drawings:

  1. Switch to Selection Tool (V)
  2. Click on the drawing stroke to select it
  3. Press Delete

Or clear all background drawings from the Scene panel.
