Drawing Tool
Create freehand drawings and brush strokes on your canvas.
Activating the Tool
- Click the Draw button in the toolbar, or
- Press B
Drawing
- Activate the Drawing Tool
- Click and drag on the canvas to draw
- Release to finish the stroke
Drawing Properties
Adjust these settings before or during drawing:
Stroke Settings

| Opacity | Transparency (0-100%) |
Brush Style
| Style | Description |
|---|---|
| Round | Smooth, rounded ends |
| Square | Flat, square ends |
Where Drawings Appear
Freehand drawings are added to the background layer. They appear behind text and other interactive elements.
To draw on the background:
- In the Scene panel, select Drawing as the background mode
- Use the Drawing Tool
Tips
For smooth curves:
- Draw slowly and steadily
- Use larger brush sizes for smoother results
- The path is automatically smoothed after you release
Erasing
To remove drawings:
- Switch to Selection Tool (V)
- Click on the drawing stroke to select it
- Press Delete
Or clear all background drawings from the Scene panel.
